There are several barns on the
fairgrounds. The Bradley Barn is an indoor facility that measures overall
95'x170' with a show arena in the middle measuring 55'x170'. The Bradley Barn
has 33 stalls and one paneled room with a concrete floor and a locking
door.
The footing in the Bradley Barn is primarily cedar.
The
Bradley Barn is ideal for stabling, however with the arena, it also makes a
wonderful location for a smaller horse show to be held in the winter
months. Other barns available at the fairgrounds include the Weller Barn
which has 2 10 foot aisle ways and 39 stalls with several tack and storage
rooms. In addition to the Weller Barn, there are 2 shed row type barns on the

The newest addition to the
fairgrounds would be the Livestock Facility measuring 90'x250'. This indoor
facility is ideal for any type of livestock event. Portable stalls or stock pens
can be easily put up in the facility providing additional stabling for horse or
cattle events. Shows and Sales of many types are held in this facility. A
sand/soil base mixture makes footing easily adapted for many types of
events.
The Livestock Facility is host to
all of the livestock events during our county fair; including cattle, sheep,
goats and hogs. It is also the facility that hosts the Shelby Showcase Heifer Sale. In addition to the cattle events, it is
also home to the Kentucky Cutting Horse Association Show which conducts a two

The Shelby County Fairgrounds has
a picturesque Show Ring, with grandstand type bleachers on one side and a
covered grandstand on the other. There is a gazebo in the center ring providing
the ideal place for an announcer, band or official to use during a show. A
concrete apron all the way around the outside of the ring provides a wonderful
area for box seating to be sold as preferred seating during your event.
The pavilion also sits at the end of the Show Ring and this provides both a
wonderful view for the people in the pavilion and also many ways for a show
promoter to use the additional space for fund raising. Above the entrance to the
Show Ring is a Secretary's office and an additional place for an announcer to be
able to work and be protected from the weather.
